What is Relayo?

Relayo is a shared-errand app for couples and households. It helps you and a partner coordinate tasks, reminders, and errands without the back-and-forth.

This policy covers the Relayo mobile app. The Relayo website you’re reading right now collects nothing — no analytics, no cookies, no contact forms. Our host (Cloudflare) processes standard request data like IP addresses only to deliver and secure the site; we do not receive or store that data ourselves.

We’re not a law firm. This is our actual practice, written in plain language.

Information we collect and why

We collect only what the app needs to work.

• Email address — for passwordless sign-in. We send you a one-time code; there is no password to store or forget.
• Display name and household name — so you and your partner can see who created or completed something.
• Your content — the lists, tasks, errands, notes, and dated items you create in the app.
• Location you choose to enter — if you use location features, you can set a home address, work address, and store/item locations on a map. These become coordinates stored on your account. This is optional; the app works without it.
• Background location — only if you subscribe to Relayo Plus and enable commute reminders. The app checks your location when leaving a geofenced area (such as work) to trigger a “Heading out?” reminder. There is no continuous tracking and no location history is stored.
• Push notification token — so your device can receive reminder notifications.
• Subscription and purchase information — if you subscribe to Relayo Plus. Purchases are processed by Apple or Google and RevenueCat. We receive confirmation that you have an active subscription; we do not receive your payment card details.
• Preferences — your chosen maps app and app theme.

How we use location

Location data is used only to power reminders.

• Addresses you type are turned into coordinates on your device. The raw address text is not sent to our servers.
• Home and work coordinates are sent to a maps provider only when the commute-routing feature computes a route. This is a gated Relayo Plus feature.
• Quick position checks for geofence-based reminders are not saved or logged.
• We do not track where you go, build a movement history, or use location for any advertising purpose.

Who we share data with

We share data only with the services needed to run the app.

• Supabase — our secure backend. It stores your account data, content, and location coordinates.
• Apple / Google and RevenueCat — process and confirm Relayo Plus subscriptions.
• Push delivery service — routes notifications to your device using your push token.

We use no advertising, analytics, or tracking SDKs. We do not sell your data, trade it, or use it for ad targeting — ever. If we ever add a new processor that handles personal data, we will update this policy and, where required by law, ask for your consent.

Keeping and deleting your data

You can delete your account and all your data at any time, directly inside the app.

Go to You → Delete account and confirm. Deletion is immediate and permanent. There is also a web option at /delete-account.

If you share a household with a partner: your personal data and identity are removed, but content you created and shared — lists, tasks, and recurring “Domains” — stays with your partner, who jointly used and contributed to it.

Deleting your Relayo account does not cancel an App Store or Google Play subscription. Manage your subscription separately in your Apple ID settings or Google Play Subscriptions.

Your choices and rights

• Notifications — you can turn off push notifications in your device settings at any time.
• Location — you can revoke location permission in your device settings. Commute reminders will stop; the rest of the app continues to work.
• Access and deletion — you can view your data inside the app and delete everything as described above.
• GDPR / CCPA and similar laws — if you are in a jurisdiction with privacy rights (such as the EU or California), you have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data, and to object to certain processing. We honor those rights. Contact us at hello@relayoapp.com.
• We do not sell your data — so there is no opt-out needed for sale.

Children

Relayo is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has provided us data, please contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

When we make meaningful changes, we’ll update the “Last updated” date at the top. For significant changes, we’ll give you notice in the app.
